Punjab Agricultural University-Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Ropar under the guidance of Director of Extension Education, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana conducted a one day training course on Natural farming for farmers on 24.09.2025. The training was carried under the National Mission on Natural Farming with support from the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Ropar. A total of 50 farmers along with Krishi Sakhis/CRPs and master trainer from different blocks of district Rupnagar successfully completed the training.
Dr. Satbir Singh, Associate Director (Training) extended a warm welcome to all participants and provided valuable insights into the importance of natural farming for the sustainability of agriculture and soil health. The training sessions were coordinated by Dr. Urvi Sharma, Assistant Professor (Plant Protection) and Dr. Sanjeev Ahuja, Associate Professor (Vegetable Science). The technical aspects regarding the scope and necessity of natural farming, along with its principles and tools, were thoroughly discussed. Additionally, practical sessions were conducted on the preparation of various bioinputs utilized in natural farming, such as Beezamrit, Jeevamrit, Ghanjeevamrit, Neemastra, and Bhramastra, with active involvement from the trainees.
Dr Parminder Cheema. PD ATMA, Ropar addressed the farmers for the implementation of demonstrations and natural farming clusters. The regular efforts in the successful execution of the training programme were executed by the coordination of the Department of Agriculture, Rupnagar and KVK Ropar. |
