Amidst strict directions from the top court to check paddy straw torching, the Agronomist Dr Jagroop Kaur of the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) urged the farmers to adopt recommended crop residue management technologies such as Surface Seeder, Super Seeder, PAU Super SMS, Happy Seeder Baler, etc. for much-needed agricultural as well as environment sustainability.

At the monthly training camp of PAU Kisan Club organised today, seed, vegetable, plant breeding and floriculture experts Dr AS Brar, Dr NS Brar, Dr Gurpreet Singh and Dr RK Dubey focused on successful wheat cultivation with improved varieties, cultivation of winter vegetables, oilseeds cultivation and provided tips for landscaping, respectively.

Farm Machinery experts Dr Tarandeep Singh and Dr Santosh Kumar explained drone spray technique.

The Coordinator Mr Varinder Singh, Kairon Kisan Ghar, and Mr Manpreet Singh Grewal, President of the club, welcomed the subject-matter specialists and the members as well as proposed a vote of thanks, respectively.

A total of 85 farmer members attended the training camp held under the guidance of Dr TS Riar, Additional Director Communication and Dr Kuldeep Singh, Associate Director (PR).
